The History of the Schools in Dolny Kubin
To begin with the schools in Dolny Kubin were somewhat basic. They
included the Catholic and Evangelical school, and in 1851 a Jewish
school was also founded, which most of the town's richer people's
children attended, due to the school's high standards.
In 1882, a state primary school was opened, and then later a public
school, a state business school and an apprentice school were also
founded. In 1880, a Children's Care Office was founded, something
like a fore-runner to a Kindergarten.
