The History of the Schools in Dolny Kubin

To begin with the schools in Dolny Kubin were somewhat basic. They included the Catholic and Evangelical school, and in 1851 a Jewish school was also founded, which most of the town's richer people's children attended, due to the school's high standards.

In 1882, a state primary school was opened, and then later a public school, a state business school and an apprentice school were also founded. In 1880, a Children's Care Office was founded, something like a fore-runner to a Kindergarten.
