Dolny Kubin (1918 - 1945)

During this period, some of the political parties found a place in Dolny Kubin. The Social Democratic Party, the Slovak National Party, the Communist Party and others started to be active in the town.

In the background is the former Hotel Orava (then the Hotel Slavia).

After the Second World War, Dolny Kubin was renovated and became an important industrial and cultural center of Orava.

New areas of the town were built, such as Bysterec, Banisko, Alej Slobody, Brezovec and Matuskova.
