Late 19th Century and Early C20th

The post office was founded in Dolny Kubin during the feudalism period. Also the police station, tax office, regional court, a lawyer's practice, building society, inspectors office and others were active in Dolny Kubin.

In this period, on the town square new pavements were built, the canalization was broadened, and also the building of the Orava railway began. A hospital was also built and a pharmacy opened.

In 1893 and 1895 Dolny Kubin was affected by two big fires, which destroyed the main burger house, Jewish synagogue, Catholic and Evangelical church, as well as some other houses and buildings. After the fires a new synagogue was built, the Evangelical church was reconstructed and rebuilt in a gothic style, and also the main burger house was newly constructed.
