The Town Square
During this time the town square, which was supposed to represent
the town, was totally rebuilt.
Buildings were reserved for tradesmen, craftsmen and council employees.
The farmers were allowed to build their house only on the edge of
the town, where they had plenty of pastures for their cattle.
This reconstruction resulted in the straightforward layout of the
square, and from this point on the houses had to conform to a particular
town style.
Another change at this time was the removal of Dolny Kubin's mill
canal, which did not look very aesthetically pleasing, and the trough
of which was often flooded.
