Caplovic's Bibliothek
Caplovic's Bibliothek belongs to the most valuable historical libraries
in Slovakia. The building, in which the library is situated, was
built between the years 1905-1911 and opened to public in 1914.
The library was found by Vavrinec Caplovic from Jasenova.
In 1839 Caplovic gave his collection of various works as a present
to Orava people. In the present time the library has its own department
within the Orava museum in Dolny Kubin. Many works such as, lexicons,
biographies, belles letters, mathematical, theological, art-scienticfic
works, periodical and non-periodical prints and others, can be found
here.
The Wooden Bridge
One of the most original attractions in Dolny Kubin is the wooden
bridge, which is supposed to be the longest wooden bridge in Central
Europe.
