Orava Museum
For those of you that are interested in looking at what life was
like a century ago, then this excellent little museum is well worth
a visit and the small entrance fee.
|
 |
The Orava museum, which is housed
in Caplovic's Bibliothek on the main square, documents in minute
detail the life and works of Hviezdoslav, the world-renowned
Slovak poet, and Dolny Kubin's most famous patron. |
|
| In the year 1954, the
Orava museum, which up until then was solely situated in Caplovic's
Bibliothek, transferred part of the collections to Orava Castle,
in Oravsky Podzamok. Here, you can find an ethnological exhibition,
which represents the culture and life in the Orava region.
