Literature in Orava
Vavrinec Caplovic - Founder of the Caplovic's Bibliothek,
he colleted many valuable books, manuscripts, maps, paintings etc.
This valuable collection was later given as present to the Orava
people and can be found today in Dolny Kubin's main square.
Baltazar Demian - Contributed to Stur's Slovak National
Newspaper with various articles from the Orava region.
Andrej Radlinsky - He wrote 39 books, contributed to Slovak
newspaper and the magazines and wrote a biography of Martin Hamuljak.
Samuel Novak - Contributed to Stur's National newspaper
with his articles from Orava and Dolny Kubin, and also to Hurban's
Church letters. His main themes were the lives and fortunes of people
in the Orava region.
Jozef Kohut - Collected manuscripts, old momentos and wrote
many poems. Again, he used mainly Orava themes.
